Sound went out....Not good. Help!!!

So I booted up my computer today, logged in, and I swear that it rebooted by itself after that. came back, logged in, and i have no sound! checked out my drivers, seemed to be fine, but i have no volume control in my system tray. so i rebooted, and windows said it recovered from a serious error, and of course the error report was meaningless. tried to reinstall soundmax drivers using built re-install feature, rebooted, still nothing.

any ideas??

Try doing a system restore, maybe Windows got corrupted. Hopefully your hard drive didn't crash.

unistalled drivers and then re-installed....it works again!
