Sound / Video Editing help please

So I got married on April 3rd. Instead of hiring a videographer we decided to get a camcorder and a el cheapo wireless mic because we weren't going to film it at all. It was better than nothing

Well Video came out crystal clear with the exception of the sun in a few spots. But the wireless mic had some distortion in the background. Is there any way to clean up that sound? I can hear the voices just fine and I can even hear the harp in the background, just that distortion ruins all of the sound. To me it sounds like static from your TV.

If anyone can help in this, it would make the wife very happy.
 
Cool Edit Pro has a noise/distortion removal tool that works fairly well. Can't help you with removing/readding the sound stream to the video stream though.
