Hi all,
I know nothing about home theaters, but my husband uses this site so I trust your opinions. His birthday is Tuesday and I want to buy him a sound system for our living room.
Budget is about $250 - is that even reasonable?
Existing equipment - PVR running Media Portal, Samsung TV, XBox and Wii. Right now we just have 2 Logitech speakers and a small sub-woofer.
Sources I'll use - not sure what this means exactly, but I need this in the next couple days so I'll be limited to shopping at Best Buy and Target (or other brick and mortars)
Room size - about 14 x 16
Aesthetic concerns, etc - We basically have 2 1/2 walls to work with. There is no wall behind the couch (directly across from TV). There is a book shelf about 3 feet behind couch, so we could put a speaker on there but it would have to be wireless. No drop ceiling to hide wires under either, so I do worry about how a setup with a bunch of speakers would look.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice!
