Sound Recording Software?

Steinberg's Wave Lab is tops (along with it's pricetag). Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge will do what you need affordably, but much slower. Be sure to have a decent sound card for the A/D conversion. Couldnt believe the difference until I got a digital sound card. I was using all kinds of plugins, filters, and editing to get rid of the soundcard noise.
