Just reformated due to a computer problem and am starting over.
I get everything reinstalled and updated and for some reason my soundcard(Audigy 2 ZS) isnt putting out.
I've updated the drivers. Hardware manager says it's A-OK. Everything looks good but the fact that no sound is coming out of the speakers. Tried plugging into every jack and nothing.

Finally out of desperation I plugged the jacks into the 5.1 intagrated sound on my Nforce mother board and it works..as oppse to not working. Just the front speakers, nothing surround. It sounds really weird with only 2 speakers.

Thinking something was loose. I reseated the card and checked cables and everything appears to be in order.

I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Any sugguests/help?

Welcome to AT.

Try disabling your onboard sound in BIOS and setting your windows primary sound device to the Audigy.

Yay! Thanks!

So I got it through the soundcard... but no surround :(

Stand by for more dicking around.

Edit:
SURROUND!! moved the jacks one space over and it was the sweetspot it seems.

Thanks again for the leg up.
