Sound problems with HD595 and Fatal1ty sound card

Yesterday when I went to play Battlefield 2 the sound first started with a loud staticey noise that I heard from all the way across the room. Thankfully my headphones were destroyed in the process, but man this sound was really loud. I plugged them into my ipod and listened to music for a few hours and they were fine. Today I went to listen to some music in itunes on my computer. It played fine for about a mine, then in the middle of Knights of Cydonia I heard these really loud popping noises that sounded like fireworks, in sucession(this is definatly not part of the song). This sound was really loud and in fact I have a headache right now that may have been from those loud blasts. I looked up at my computer to see that the itunes slider that tells you how far into the song it is stopped at around 1:34 during the song. I think my computer was frozen at this point and I pushed the power button to shut off my computer. I plugged it into my ipod to make sure the headphones were okay, and they seem to be okay. I got the Fatal1ty card and the HD595's at the same time. I doubt anybody remembers my other sound posts, but with my integrated sound, the integrated sound crapped out slowly but surely, so I bought the Fatal1ty card. This just recently started happening last night and I'm wondering if my sound card could be defective. My computer is overclocked, I doubt that makes a diffrence though. I'm a little scared to risk these headphones again, I thought I blew out the headphones for sure after the past two incidents. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

your mobo's integrated sound, go back to it and try it again with updated drivers

take the x-fi card and stick it into a another computer that is no OC'd

update/rollback drivers

BF2 is buggy as hell, but thankfully the new patch has helped fix a lot of things although I still don't trust the game one hundred percent. about BF2, the default weapon for the support soldier sucks (lol)

I don't use the onboard sound anymore, should I still try to update it and use it?
