Systems specs:
P4C 2.8GHz, no OC
Abit IS7
WD 120GB 8MB
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Mushkin 1024MB PC3500 Level One Black DDR
Hercules Fortissimo III
Running Catalyst 3.6 and DX9.

Really weird problem with Half-Life and mods. If I start the game without console enabled, sound is fine. If I start the game with console enabled, I have to go into a game and exit it for the sound to work. EAX and A3D are disabled.

GTA:VC sound does not work. However, radio music plays fine.

When running Winamp with DirectSound Output v2.2.6, there's a huge amount of interference or something. waveOut output v2.0.2a works fine.

Games with completely functional sound:
BF1942
Raven Shield
Deus Ex
Army Ops
Medieval Total War

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had no problems with it... it's on my second rig and i've played vice city and counter strike with no problem at all. i don't use winamp though so i can't tell you my experiences with that. i used to have an Acoustic Edge and that thing was a hit or miss with games probably because of its old drivers... but my Fortissimo III has been rock solid with whatever i throw at it. :)

Yes, but when I updated them it said the drivers did not pass Windows Logo testing. I clicked continue anyway. Was it supposed to say that?

Most drivers I've come across, including some for my nVidia and Turtle Beach cards dont' pass window testing, but as yet I've had no problems. And somebody should answer, because I'm looking to buy a Fortissimo, and I don't want to get one if it's gonna mess up, so...

Bump!
