Sound problems while using web browsers

I'm having a problem with IE, and firefox. I can't get any sound through webpages, such as youtube and myspace.

Sound works with media player and other windows sounds, just not through web browsers. I updated to the new firefox and as best as I can remember the problem began after that.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
