Sound problem revisited.

Hi all,
I thought I had this problem solved by installing new sound drivers but it seems to be occurring again. When I start my pc, any sound event, such as clicking on a link, provokes a popping sound from my speakers. When I run something with sound that is continuous like Winamp, it seems to fix itself and is generally ok then until the next time I reboot the computer. My speakers are Monsoon MH-502 and I have a Soundblaster Live Value card. There is a light on the back of the subwoofer that is red but goes to green after I start winamp and run a Mp3 file and then stays that way.
I am also running Win XP Pro on this computer.
Hopefully I have given enough info to diagnose my problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thx
Gary

Are you using a motherboard with a AMD CPU and VIA chipset?

If so, installing the latest 4-1 drivers should fix the problem.
Be for warned, sometimes updating the drivers can cause other problems.
