Hi got a cheap second computer a few months ago. It has built in sound and video on board. I just got 2 sets of Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's. On my real system with a Diamond Monster MX400 sound card, the speakers sound incredable.
On the machine with the built in sound, the speakers sound just horrible. No bass at all and the sound output in really low. At first I thought it was the speakers. I switched them out and the same thing. Computer with good sound card was perfect, sound out of the MB with built in sound was horible.
Anyone every had this problem? I figured the on board sound would be a little lacking, but nothing this inferior. I guess I need to get another sound card.
Are there any issues with adding a sound card to a MB with onboard sound?
