Hey all,
Quick question. Lately my PC sounds have occasionally been dropping out with a soft "thud" sound only to have them re-establish on their own after a few seconds. This occurs apparently randomly in all games and movies 2-3 times a day now. It started last month-ish and never happened before.
I have an SB X-Fi connected via optical SPDIF to a DTS receiver.
Does this sound like a TOSLINK cable going bad? (this one is ~10 years old) Or would you guess it's a hardware issue on either end?
Thanks
