Sound Output From AC97 to AUX in Stereo, Is it possible?

Hi,

I live in a dorm and space is limited. I have a computer I use for music. I know AC97 sucks but I have never had time to get a sound card yet. I have Logitech Z340's too (great speakers for price) but for parties I want to have louder speakers (my 300+ watt stereo) play music from my computer, which is onboard AC97. Is it possible to hook the stereo (AUX) to my computer?

Its a ECS K7VZA board

Normally, there are 3 ports on a AC97 mobo. Line In, Line Out, and Mic. They are stereo mini-jacks. Just run a patch cable from Line Out to your AUX inputs on your stereo system (normally L and R RCA plugs.). When you connect AC97 to a good stereo system, the sound is surprisingly good. I do it with all my systems - and one just goes to the AUX input on a small Bose Wave table radio. Excellent sound!
