When i am playing my DVD the sound lags behind all the time. The voices and music of the DVD that i am playing normally lag behind 2 seconds. It's fine when i am just listening to music though. What's going on? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What program are you using to play the DVDs? Are you using the onboard sound or a separate sound card? Have you tried updating all the drivers and that type of deal?

If you're using WMP10 (requires a 3rd party DVD software) then it could be a codec issue.

Does it happen on all DVD's?

If you have any sort of "normalize" option enabled in your DVD player, disable it. If you have any "equalizer" feature in your sound drivers, disable it. Are the DVDs in question that you are trying to view, encoded with a stereo PCM soundtrack, an AC3 DD soundtrack, DTS soundtrack, what? It could be that the player is having to decode the audio, and then down-mix it to stereo, and perhaps your machine can't keep up? Although I would think that would lead to occasion audio glitches and breakups, not simply a consistent delay.
