Sound just stopped working

So I just installed a new 200 gig drive, (although I don't see how this would have anything to do with it.) and now my sound doesn't work. I have tried speakers and headphones, plugged in, same as always, nothing works. Sound is not muted or anything. if it matters, I did spray some of the compressed air stuff down to get rid of the dust before I installed the hard drive, possibly that shorted it out? I dunno. what happened?
