Sound issue.

Any reason why my windows start up sound is suddenly sounding fuzzy and distorted? I have reinstalled my sound drivers.
My system is a PII400, 256 RAM, Herc. Prophet Video (32 mb), and AWE 64 sound card.
Thx for any info.

I grabbed a copy of the sound from my laptop thinking the file itself may be corrupted, but it still plays fuzzy on my desktop pc. All other sounds, winamp, etc are all fine. ???
