Sound issue

I'm not getting sound from things being played by me DVD drive.
I get sound from things on my hard drive (Windows, etc), but when i try to watch a DVD or even play a game from from the optical drive, I hear nothig.
Any ideas?
 
Uhhh... maybe digital playback isn't selected for you CD-rom drive?

It's a checkbox of the drive's properites in Device Manager.

I haven't messed with mine so I don't know if that would cause your problem.
