using hercules gamesurrond xp, sound does not work unless I turn the volume all the way to maximum, and then it is extremely weak,

it would go out before but I would reboot and then it would work....................

now rebooting does not solve the problem.........
 
well winamp, etc., videos, etc., don't work......... but if I play
CS and then exit, things go back to normal........
