I have an nforce1 motherboard with onboard sound. Would it help frames per second on games any if I installed a pci sound card?

i dont think there would be any noticeable differences at all, but i'm not sure. i dont think there would be any real improvement.

My standard reply is to urge consideration of how much moolah is lost in performance from software audio since CPU prices rise exponentially for incremental gains. A $40 Audigy is oft much better value than the next best CPU, plus it sounds better, has more features and eliminates compatability and other potential problems.
