So i finally got my 4770k rig up and running. I have a MSI z87 gd65 mobo and logitech z506 speakers. i hooked everything up, and tested the speakers with the realtek software and windows configuration to make sure all 5 speakers work, every one works fine. then i went on youtube to play a song, worked fine as well, all speakers blasting. then i downloaded itunes, went to play a song...no sound. went to settings, cant get it to work. next i installed flight sim, booted it up, no sound. messed with the settings, nothing. i fired up the sim a few times, and 1 time it had sound coming from one speaker. havnt been able to replicate it though. im using the onboard sound from the mobo. obviously the speakers work fine, is the driver i should download? any help would be appreciated. thanks!!

Right-click the speaker icon, and then right-click each output you are not using, and disable each one. See if that helps. Also, sometimes going into the properties, and disallowing exclusive control, helps (I have no idea why).
