Greetings,

Abit IP35 MB was using OB sound. Turned off in BIOS. Removed and uninstalled drivers, even cleaned out Registry.

Have the latest drivers from Omega Audio Driver Ver is 5.12.01.0047.3

Karaoke turned off.
Effects- if set to generic sounds absolutely horrible. Set to living room only sounds really bad.

Very weird that I can listen to music with out voice. Like classical and it sound fine. But a persons voice in BF2, or just radio and it echoes and reverbs and sounds horrible enough I want to kill it!

What is the problem?

Thanks
Peace and Blessings

Modern OS's do not care whether the device is turned off in the BIOS.
Generally, Win2k-XP-Vista (many Linux distros also) override any
setting you select.

Make sure that it is also 'DISABLED' in the OS also.

I have tuned it off in the 'OS' also.
Effects set to Generic and Default. Only choices close to non.

Support says it may be IRQ so I will move it to another PCI slot. grrrr!

Peace and Blessings

I know this is an OLD post but I've been searching all across the net and I did a search on these forums to make sure I wasn't bumping an already fixed problem, just to find a fix for this. I haven't found anything yet so here it goes.

It's NOT your slot, it's a defect in the effect options (that's unintentional 😛). Often times when you switch back to the Generic effect it will automatically turn on the Bathroom effect. It won't show the button pressed however. So if you click to turn the bathroom effect on and turn it off again it should be fine. Test it in the Main Settings tab!
