I built a HTPC using an Intel DG965WH. Occasionally the sound goes out. I've not had much luck isolating the issue and I've tried reinstalling the drivers without success. It would go in and out and, in the past, I've been able to get the sound working again but not it seems gone for good :-(

Anyone ever encountered this problem?
 
In and Out, could indicate a bad connector or connection. Test it using a headset or headphone. If there is sound it could be the amplifier causing the problem. Check Device Manager to make sure everything is installed still.
