I have a YAMAHA RX-V673 connected via HDMI to one of my gpus for my home theater audio. I have had this setup for some time and everything's working ok until recently every time I power on my PC the amplifier isn't finding the speakers or at least it's not connecting them to the PC. If I swap out the HDMI to my second GPU whilst my PC is on then it works ok, if I don't it seems like it's barely trying to connect and at random sends out a massive static noise for a few seconds and then it stops, it happens also when Windows send out any kind of audio but not always.

My question is, could it be the Yamaha causing the issue? Any way I can find what's wrong?

Do you have other HDMI sources? Try it with the HDMI port you hook up to PC to see if you have the same issue. My bet is driver issue on PC.
