Sound faster than Video when i play Dvix (avi) movies, y?

i downloaded some divx movies off the internet and i noticed that the sound is faster than the image. then i stop playin and replay it again it goes fine but after a little it goes back with delay in video.(not a noticable delay but the just dont match). this also happens to more than one movie. i dunno why, does somebody know?

my system config:
1 gig athlon
kta7-raid
viper tnt2 ultra
sound blaster live 5.1

It may be the version of divx that you are using. From what I know, there's a 3.11 alpha, 4.12 and a 5.0 version. I've had problems using 4.12 for my old divx movies. So what someone told me to do was use the 3.11 alpha version.

Try using divx 5.0... the movie could've just been encoded poorly - if it continues to get further out of sync it isnt the movies fault though
