"The most amazing thing about the RTS-3 is that their overall sound belies their small size. In this respect, they are at least the equals of the 300ti," marvels the November 1998 issue of The Sensible Sound. Harry Pearson in The Absolute Sound gives the RTS-3 its Golden Ear Award and proclaims, "It's disgusting how good this little speaker is. I told myself: People are going to think you're crazy. I mean: It's a two-way system, plain-looking as home-made fudge, and it costs but $280 the pair. Get serious!"

A heads-up for those thinking of using these for their computer--I don't think that they are magnetically shielded. Otherwise, they look like they would be superb for near-field use flanking a computer monitor.

Oh, and about the Sound Dynamics name: they have the same parent company as Energy and Mirage (I believe it is Audio Products International), and the different trademarks all share engineering and production facilities. Sound Dynamics seems to specialize in the low-price/high-value market segment. They are also noted for having very "dynamic" speakers, meaning they play loud, without distortion, for their price and size.
