Sound Doesnt work through normal speakers just 5.1 souround sound

Ok the speakers do work but if I try to play noice through them they wont but they test find.
If I hit test under sound in control panel they work.

They are my default sound device and the volume is turned up.

If I switch to my 5.1 sourond sound system it works perfectly fine. Its very unusuall.
