Sound disable/enable program

Are there any software that lets me disable/enable sound for a particular program?
For example, I want to listen to my Winamp, but I dont want to hear any sound from another program/game. Assume that there is no way to disable sound from within the game, is there any software that tells windows to disable any sound from the game?

This is impossible. You can only control the volume of WAV, MIDI and such separately, but not of WAV output.

The only thing you can do is to disable all the Windows sounds in the control panel, but sounds generated from other sources will still sound.

Hmmm, so it's not possible to, for example, disable all sounds coming from a program called sonique and enable sound from Winamp ?
