the best and cheapest in my opinion is styrofoam just put a block in your case and some sheets on the side. You will notice a big difference. Tonight i just tried something that seems to work, I added 5 old tshirts and folded them up and put them in the case, that seems to help with the noise. I think I heard someone also mention carpet but i havn't tried this. I hope this helps.
if you're hardcore, I can set you up with a sheet of sound proofing material I have left over....but, only if you're hardcore, bc, I would not recommend this to just anyone...PM me
How about neoprene rubber? Ill bet you have lots of it laying around and dont even know it a.k.a old MOUSE PADS. Attach them to the inside of your case using a spray adhesive. You can also use the rolls of rubber that mechanincs line their tool chests with ( the non slip mesh or the solid sheet stuff, its really thin also) Be advised that adding stuff to the inside of your case will directly affect your temps if you go overboard.
ICSVortex,
yes that will help a little but it is designed for vibrational noise and will not affect the noise that much, although it will help some, it costs too much for what it does.
