Sound Controller for LED Strips

I just bought a new (to me) pontoon boat and would like to run LED strips between the deck and pontoons, as well as under some the seats...

Around the house I have some LED strips + IR controllers + PSU that I bought off ebay, they all work great but the PSU gets them to run off a standard outlet.

.... the boat would obviously be pulling from a 12v DC source, so for getting the power to the LEDs and allowing control I'm thinking of just grabbing one of these - http://www.amazon.com/HitLights-Acti.../dp/B007RGRJ36
... I like that it has two RGB outputs, one for inside the cabin and another for the exterior ones, as well as a remote.

Does anyone have a different controller they would recommend? Or another way that would be more ideal?
