Not bad, but lost the distinctive Mustang sound IMO.

Err, in the parts where you can actually hear whatever that is (over the wind noise), it sounds pretty much exactly like the current GT500. Can't really tell engine details exactly, but it sounds like either they're using the same exhaust, or have just slapped the current exhaust on a test mule of something.

edit: Even as far back as 2010: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=jBGBqWjQh4g#t=27

Hmm, where did I just hear that sound? Oh yeah... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=fgRjVdJYgrk#t=106

(27 seconds in, and 1:46 minutes in respectively. The time links don't seem to be working correctly)

You put the same exhaust on a 5.0 coyote engine, and it ends up sounding remarkably similar as well. All the sound says to me is that it has the current GT500 exhaust on whatever engine they have in whatever test car that is.

The GT500 sounds closer to the other super charged V8s out right now, or at least that's what I noticed when at the track. That one sounds very raspy and doesn't have the burble that you hear in the Boss 302 and GT of today.

Regardless of how stock GT exhaust sounds. Whatever is under all that padding just has the current SVT stock exhaust on it. The sound is nothing new at all. Driving one of them nearly every day for a year, the sound was extremely familiar.
