Sound Cards other than SBL-5.1!!!

do any 1 no of a good sound card othe than the SBL5.1 series. yesterday i spent all day trying to get this SBL mp3+5.1 to work with no sucess. even call Creative & talk with 1 of their counselors & got thte so-called updated drivers with no sucess. After 6 hrs of F... with the
card I end up putting my old SBL-value back in to my machine with no problems. & yes i uninstall my old SBL before putting in the new 1. I also heard that the SBL-5.1 have some compatibility problems with P3s 600 & above.

I don't think your problems are hardware, but the solution is pretty drastic--reformat. Liveware 3.0 attaches itself to the present Live card that there during the install, thats why when you put in the new card the Value edition still appeared in Device Manager(even though the card is sitting on your desk). Maybe with some Registry hacking you wouldn't need to reformat, but there is no means of uninstalling Liveware 3.0. I've got a X-gamer and a Livedrive sitting on a shelf behind me waiting for my anual PC hard drive clean up
