Sound Cards: Audigy vs Fortissimo

My buddy just bought a Guillemot Hercules Fortissimo III after deciding to replace is SB Audigy. He has told me that the sound is 100x's better with the Fortissimo. Things are a lot clear, and the sound in games is phenominal.

Does anyone have one of these cards they can contest to this? It runs for about 40 dollars, right around what you can get an SB Audigy OEM for.

 
I dont own a Fortissimo 3, but i used to own the orginal Guillemot Fortissimo.
Anyway, As far as i know, the only advantages that the Fortissimo3 has over Audigy are, support for 7.1 speakers &Sensura Sound thing. But its evened out cos the Audigy does EAX HD & AC3 Decoding.
 
I wouldn't consider the Fortissimo III as a upgrade from the Audigy (especially with the latest Audigy 2 drivers forced on it), however, the Fortissimo III is the best bang-for-buck soundcard available IMO. The Audigy will have better EAX support then the Fortissimo III (Sensaura).
