Before I make my order from newegg I wanted to ask what sound cards work in good in vista 64bit. I will be playing some games and doing photo and making some movies.

What motherboard do you have? Chances are you don't need a soundcard, since onboard sound is plenty good enough nowadays, unless you have some kick-ass 7.1 speakers worth a few 100 bucks.

You will be getting what ? Your logitec speakers don't really warrant a dedicated soundcard. Try onboard sound first, I'm pretty sure you'll be pleased with it, nowadays onboard sound is 7.1 as well btw.

You should sit down and take a minute to write ;)

That mobo is just fine, most mobo's use the 7.1 channel, Realtek ALC888 for onboard sound including the one you linked to. Why p45 though, it is more expensive then p35. And if you want it for crossfire, then you should get a more expensive x38 mobo, since crossfire isn't ideal on a p45 motherboard.

ok thanks I will look more at the P-35 Boards. I see a lot of good things said about the Gigabite MB but i had a bad experience with the last one so i was staying away from them.
