Sound Card with Optical Output for a Digital Stereo Reciever?

Are there any sound cards, other than a Audigy with a Live! Drive, that have an optical out, with possible support for 5.1 output for a dolby digital stereo reciever?

i'm just looking for a better way to play my MP3s

I am wondering the same thing. Apparently with the TB Santa Cruz you can do that, but it's not optical. The mobo that I want, the ABit IT-7, has a S/PDIF out on the mobo itself, but I know most soundcards do not have S/PDIF outs.

Doesn't the GameTheater XP have an S/PDIF out?

A lot of sound cards of SPDIF out... my Soundblaster Live has it, my Aureal SQ2500 has it...
i want a digital out--but optical, cuz thatis what my reciever has..

my cheapo 30 dollar zoltrix pci nightengale with optical daughter card has what ur lookin for. I have this for transferrin mp3s to Minidisc...old school minidisc before high speed USB stuff came out
