Sound Card with Optical Out and DVD Audio Support?

I have a TBSC and I love it, except for one thing. When I hook it up to my receiver, I get a hiss. I don't get the hiss when I attach my laptop to the receiver. So I want a new card, but I figure since I have an additional optical in available on my receiver, why not get a card that can deliver digital sound (coax is out of the question b/c I only have one being used by my cable). So what are my options? I saw the Chaintech AV710 on Newegg but I'm not sure if it has DVD Audio support (I just realized having an optical out does not guarantee DVD audio support). But that card is less than $30 and I'm afraid of getting what I paid for. I don't want to spend a fortune so any good suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you want DVD-Audio, the Audigy 2 series is your only choice for the forseeable future.

you can't output dvd-audio through digital outs. The copy protection prevents it from happening because of fear of piracy.

I've heard the only way to output digitally is to buy a specific Denon player and receiver that has a proprietary cable link between the two.

Even if you could send the advanced resolution track through optical or coaxial out, it would only give you stereo sound.

Unless your talking about sending the AC-3 signal out, in which case you're better off buying the CD because the CD would sound better.

The new Audigy 2 ZS should come with optical in and optical out. At least according to some pics I saw a few days ago at the Japanese Creative site. I think the American site has it up there now. Check it out.

IIRC Pioneer also has a proprietary digital link for DVD-A/SACD. Anyway, both seem to be using Firewire as the medium.
