Sound card to stereo receiver

Well now ... just bought myself a Creative Audigy 2 zs Platinum for a good price, and now that I have it, I'm looking at the second and third parts of the equation. I have 5.1 speakers for the computer system, but want to get both a decent quality receiver and surround speakers for the entertainment center.

By no means am I an audiophile, but I want something middle of the road. Technical details are cool, but I really just want some advice on a cost-effective solution. Anyone set up with something familiar?

Thanks 😕

Get a decent home theater in a box (HTIB) setup. Most can be had for under $500. All you will need is a digital input from the computer. I am sure that the Audigy 2 supports a digital coaxial output. If this is not the case, then you need a reciever with a 6 channel pre-amp input. Which, may actually be better than a digital connection from a PC.
