Sound Card? Speaker Issue...HELP!

hey all, i was doing some work down my dads work, helping out fixing comps,

they have some a few Old Creative And ESS (ISA) cards...

here's the problems...

if i use the creative, ONLY 1 Speaker Works

if i used the ESS they both work.. yet there is thsi wicked Churping SOUND!!!!!!!!

would you guys think it is safe to say, bad cards???

i ordered him a new SB PCI128... considering they don't need a "great" card....

Yeah, sounds like either card or driver issues.

Either way, the new card should fix it.

they gone either the card its self or driver issuies use new card better and easier less time tied up .

i know i spent like 3 hours doing that...

i thought it was an IRQ confilict.. so i took out the modem.. and it still did it...
