Sound card question

Can anyone give me a recommendation for an inexpensive sound card that has drivers that support Windows 2003 Server? I just need a simple sound card, nothing fancy. I thought Creative might support it, so I looked at the Audigy 2 SE, but they say the drivers don't support 2003 server. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

My bet is that Windows XP drivers will work in 2003 server, but the question is, why do you need a sound card in your server?

My thoughts exactly. XP drivers should work, but why would you need a sound card?

It's an experimental project, and involves some networking tools that are capable of audio cues and such, so we just want to add a simple sound card to the box to test the software.

I emailed Creative about the XP drivers for the Audigy 2 SE, and they told me that they won't work with 2003. I don't know if they're just covering their butts or what. This box is just a workstation box running 2003 server right now. It has integrated sound, but the XP drivers for that don't work in 2003. So I'm just looking for a cheap add-in card that will work with 2003.

Because even if they think the drivers will probably work with 2003, they haven't done any exhaustive testing on 2003, so they won't want to commit to saying they'll work in writing. I understand that completely. 2003 isn't exactly an OS that usually needs a sound card, so it's probably not a big priority for them.

Still need some suggestions on this. Can anyone verify that the XP drivers for the Audigy 2 SE work with Win 2003 server. Does anyone know of any inexpensive sound card that does work with it?

soundblaster live worked for me without installing seperate drivers on xp. i assume it would work with win2003 as well.
