Sound Card Problems

k, got a new sound card, Philips PSC602. i uninstalled the drivers for my old awe64 SB card and removed it's hardware properties in the Device Manager. i fallow the new card's driver installation's instructions to cancal out of the add new hardware wizard, insert driver CD and install drivers. no sound. completely remove it, reinstall again, no sound. completely remove, go thru new hardware wizard this time, get windows start up sound, but nothing from .mpg's or .mp3's or games. anybody have any idea's?

List system specs os etc. Is the soundcard showing up in device manager? Make sure sound isn't muted in properties.

oh, hehe, sorry. :-( OS is win98se and the mobo is abit kt7. yes, shows up in device manager and is reporting in the green, as in nothing wrong with it, drivers work, no conflicts, no yellow ?'s. oh, and no its not muted, but i did forget to plug the speakers into the sound card. DOH!!!!!! god, i'm an idiot sometimes. :-( shessh. thanks anywho's guys.
