I have a Creative Audigy X-Gamer sound card. Anyways, for some odd reason, it's starting to mess up some of my MP3s...BAD. Like heavy base comes out really garbled, tho mid/high ranges seem ok. And when I use AIM and send/receive msgs, that little "ding" is accompanied by some fuzz.
I'm running win2k; other specs can be found under the "e-comp". Anyone know what the problem could be? I'll try to uninstall/reinstall drivers this weekend, but until then, I was hoping y'all would have an idea for me
Thanks,
-Eric
Edit: this problem just started...I can't link it to anything besides this darn HOT weather
Also, I can minimize the distortion/buzzing/fuzzing by tinkering with the master volume and wave/mp3 volume controls...but it's still evident. Apparantly, master volume set high and speakers set low = big distortion (never had this before mind you), but low master vol/high speaker vol=not so noticeable and annoying....*confused*
