Sound card problems

Ok, go here for the reference drivers. Your card is a Vortex1 card, so these are the right drivers.

IRQ's: You know in Device Manager where Windows reports conflicts, well Windows will not report anything there if the sound card is sharing IRQ's. This is unfortunate, because the sound card will not work properly when sharing IRQ's. To check for sharing: Go into Device Manager and double click on the top item "Computer". You will now be looking at a list of IRQ's and what is using those IRQ's. Go to the IRQ that your sound card is using, if there is anything other than "(ACPI) IRQ Holder for PCI Steering", then you will need to separate the soundcard and the offending piece of hardware.

Hopefully after doing these 2 things your soundcard will work properly.
