Sound Card Problems

I recently got a new sound card, Turtle Beach Systems Santa Cruz sound card. And for some strange reason the sound will not play. I mean the drivers are recognized by the computer and WinXP but it will not play any sound. I found out that this card came out in 2000 and maybe that has something to do with it.

TBSC cards work fine with XP, you may have set it up incorrectly. Did you disable the onboard sound? After doing so, did you go into sound and audio controllers, audio tab, and then set it to the tbsc?
