Sound Card Problems with certain games

I have the Diamond Monster Sound MX300 and it limits me from playing many games. For some reason it always freezes when I play any EA sports games. I am sure this is the sound card because when I take it out I am able to play the games without it freezing. Is there anything I can download or do to stop this??
