Hello,

I`m writing because of a video problem I have. I have Mediaforte X-Treme Theatre sound card and damn thing somehow interferes with the graphics. Every game that runs under D3D library isn`t working properly. The display is flickering like something is wrong with the monitor or that the drivers aren`t installed correctly. But everything is fine under OpenGL and DirectDraw. I`ve reinstalled windows, drivers, DirectX... 3 times by now and the problem remains. I know the sound card is responsible for the problem because I`ve changed it with some other one and everything worked fine. This problem occurs when playing Diablo2, Dungeon Keeper 2, NFS3. (I`ve tried only these)

My system konfiguration:

ABIT KT7 RAID socketA
AMD Duron 600
128MB PC133 7.5ns SDR
IBM 20GB 5400
3D Prophet II MX 32MB
Pioneer DVD105s

!! Mediaforte X-Treme Theatre 6 channel !!

I have a problem with my kt7 sound too. I am trying to use my sonic impact s90 card, and it doesn't work. It starts playing the windows intro, and then stops in the middle and doesn't work anymore. Sometimes it hangs my system.
I did run the 4in1 patch for via mobos. Same problem under Win Me and Win98se
Please help if you can.
thanks

well, did you try some other sound card on your system. It`ll probably work. Of course, you did check if there aren`t any conflicts... I`m just about to throw mine through the window and buy a new one. Probably Creative Live! 1024. That one oughta work...
