I have the Tyan Tomcat K8E Motherboard (Nforce 4 Chipset, AC-97 Audio Opteron 165 running Windows Vista. I am not planning on upgrading anytime soon as this system does everything I need. The sound though is lacking and I was planning on getting a used X-Fi Gamer or X-Fi Music edition for $50. I am a little concerned about Creative's Vista Drivers but i guess i dont have much of a choice.

My use is primarily Music, Movies and occasional gaming. I have a pair of Swam M100's and plan to add a sub-woofer soon.

Which card would you guys recommend?

whichever ones were the original, which i think was the xtreme music, fatality, platinum? and elite pro. the gamer i think is the "second generation" of xfi cards and they replaced alot of the high quality components with crappier ones.
