ok so i use a SB Audigy card, old but still works fine
i play WoW and also use vent, well last night something strange happened, people were randomly unable to hear me, so i messed with some things, restarted and it was fine
then like IDK 6 hours later i cut out again tried teh same things and i came back except it wounded like i was in a massive cave, the echo was insane, sounded like this to myself and others
so i uninstalled/reinstalled Vent, updated sound drivers, checked settings, made sure wasent muted or anything, restarted and now there is nothing, no more echo but no sound either, people say when i open my mic it just sounds like static
so i thought maybe the headset died, so i went and got a new one, a USB one, still got nothing, i have to literally scream into it to get my voice to even show on the windows sound recorder
and now when i plug the norm Mic back into the sound card i get a massive high pitched screeching sound that blasts through my speakers
which makes me think its going bad
Music plays fine tho, any input would be nice
