Sound Card Inoperable.

Sound card problems.

One day my sound card stopped working.. looking through the sound properties, I noticed the default playback option was defined as the modem ("Modem Playback #1"). I tried to install the drivers, but the default playback is still listed as the modem.

Then I removed the modem card altogether and reinstalled the drivers, however, in the sound properties now list as "No Playback Available" or something like that.

I rebooted the computer after each process.

The sound card is a SoundBlaster Audio PCI.

Any ideas?

The cards may have an IRQ conflict so try changing PCI Slots

Yea, I tried that already. Still no go.. this one has me absolutely lost..
