This seems like a basic question, but I don't know the answer...
I'm building a rig in a few months and plan to hook it up to a Denon Rx. Whatever method I use, the cables from the PC to the Rx will have to be ~20ft long. My understanding is that the following methods are possible:
1) SPDIF from Soundcard to Rx
2) RCA from soundcard or MoBo to Rx
3) HDMI from VIDEOcard or MoBo to Rx. HDMI for sound possibly on Nvidias FERMI?
Are the above options for porting sound from a PC, to an Rx 20ft away correct? Are there any others? Assumption is HDMI is most efficient way with least hassle... Please comment.
