Sound card help.

HI,

I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a sound card to go with my creative sbs 560 speakers. I have been using onboard for a long time and think its time to get a sound card.

What's your budget?

Without that info, I'd say you can go with an Audigy 2ZS which you can find for about $70 AMIR.

If you're willing to spend more, the X-Fi is something to look into. Starts at about $120.

Thanks for the reply, i think i might go for the Audigy 2 ZS because its more in my price range.
Would it be worth spending more on the X-Fi?; or will i see a good leap in performance from an onboard to the ZS, during games and playing music?.

For a ~$60 speaker set a used A2 is probably what you should be looking at for a soundcard for gaming.

Or maybe something like an A2 value for $35 AR

agreed. the audigy 2 is a great card, and should serve you well
