Sound card for someone who doesn't need a soundcard

Need a way to hook up a game-port joystick to a system without a game-port.
Don't really care about sound quality (on-board's fine)
What do you suggest?

Slightly longer version
I have an old joystick (Wingman Extreme, I think) that I'd like to use with MS Flight Simulator 2004.

The joystick uses a game port connection (at least I think that's what this thing is called, it's been a while)--BUT the Asus A7N8X-X that I'm using doesn't have a game port.

I suppose I need to get a sound-card then--unless someone knows of a better solution?

Since I'm not an audio-freak, and don't have the speakers to appreciate a high-end soundcard, what would you suggest? I've heard the Chaintech AV-710 is a good low-budget card, but it doesn't seem to have a game port.

Thanks!

You could just get a game/midi port to USB converter. Something with a Via Envy chipset would probably be fine if your not concerned about audio quality.

Thanks, CrackRabbit--

I had glanced around NewEgg and some other sites, but hadn't found one -- knowing it's a Game-port/Midi interface helps with the searches.

All of the converters seem a bit expensive however (Froogle seems to think they came for about $25). Think that it might make more sense just to get a new joystick? (that's a market I know NOTHING about)

And, I suppose I'm not opposed to decent sound. If I'm going to pay $25 for a game-port/MIDI --> USB converter, I'd probably be willing to go up to $45-50 and have the ability for decent sound down the road.

Oh well... off to look at Newegg, I suppose.
