Sound card for new Gateway computer

I just purchased a new Gateway computer and want to hook it up to my home stereo. My comp specs are: X2 4200, 2 gigs ram and onboard sound with Win XP media center. My home theater specs are a: Pioneer VSX-D914 with 2 JBL floorspeakers and Bose accoustmass for my center channel and surround speakers. If I want to use the optical digital jack, what is a good soundcard to use that is around 50 bucks or so. I do play games but I dont have a vid card for this computer yet. THanks for the help.
